Green Meadows Farm

Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

Green Meadows Farm is a fourth-generation family farm that has been raising cattle since 1987. Our commitment to sustainable agriculture and animal welfare has made us a leader in the farm-to-table movement. Every cow on our farm has a name, and we know them personally.

Our Story

Founded in 1987 by the Henderson family, Green Meadows Farm has grown from a small 50-acre operation to a thriving 500-acre sustainable enterprise. What started as a passion project has evolved into a mission: to prove that you can run a profitable farm while prioritizing the health of our animals, our land, and our community.

Our practices are rooted in regenerative agriculture principles. We practice rotational grazing, allowing our pastures to rest and recover, which improves soil health and sequesters carbon. Our cattle are never given antibiotics or growth hormones—they're raised on grass, as nature intended.

Today, we work with over 50 restaurants and retail partners across the Northeast, but our values have never changed. We believe that good farming is good business, and that quality food starts with respect for the land and the animals.

Sustainable Practices

Rotational Grazing

Our cattle move to fresh pasture every few days, allowing the land to regenerate naturally.

No Antibiotics or Hormones

All animals are raised without any synthetic medications or growth-promoting hormones.

Heirloom Breeds

We raise heritage cattle breeds that are known for superior flavor and sustainability.

Carbon-Neutral Operations

Through regenerative practices, our farm sequesters more carbon than we produce.
